Flyerman on Conan O’Brien

Late Night with Conan O’Brien was being pre­sented from Toronto this week so I stayed up until 11:30 p.m. to catch the first show. It started an hour later which was too bad because I wanted to watch it while I ran. I was pretty sure some­one on TV said 11:30 p.m., but that may have been wish­ful thinking.

Any­way, I did catch a bit of the show after my shower and Mike Myers was on. There was a lot of Cana­dian ref­er­ences about back bacon and such, which was a bit lame. Just before they went to com­mer­cial this guy was shout­ing out from the audi­ence and Conan (or maybe it was Mike) noticed the guy had a jacket that lit up. Then Mike (or maybe it was Conan) said some­thing like “Hey, it’s the Fly­er­man”. The cam­era pans to the audi­ence up to the sec­ond tier of the Elgin The­atre and sure enough it was the Fly­er­man with his jacket a blazing.

Well, I didn’t see that coming.
