Meat Beat Manifesto

Last Thursday I was at Lee’s Palace for yet another concert. This time it was to see Meat Beat Manifesto. I’ll be honest when I say I don’t know a lot about the group (which is essentially Jack Dangers) or it’s music, but it was a good time none the less. The tour was to promote the new album which I haven’t had a chance to listen to yet and probably will pretty soon. The visuals were very interesting and damn, did they have an impressive set of gear. I mean, 4+ PowerBooks? Snap indeed.

The highlight, personally, was when I got carded at the door. I mean, I’m 30 for fuck sake! It was kind of flattering, really, and it’s the second time I’ve been carded since parting with my 20’s—nice!

So next up in my summer concert series is The Bravery which I’ll be seeing on July the 12th (cleverly situated in my vacation time I might add).
