A Return From Neglect

After almost two months of neglect I've resumed my routine -- a slightly modified routine. Rather than run for 38 minutes at my usual jaunt of 5.5 miles an hour I am now running for 40 minutes at 5 miles an hour. Not much of a difference I grant you, but the distance is greater and that's what I'm striving for. I'm going on the theory that if I run for progressively longer distances I'll be healthier and, more importantly, I'll lose weight. My goal is to run continuously for a whole hour, and then I'll up the speed once I get used to it. My ultimate goal is to lose around 10 pounds, but I'm not going to focus too much on the actual number -- it's not healthy. Let's see if I can keep this up for the next few weeks.
