Searching for jobs online always felt like a pointless endeavour. It’s incredibly easy and convenient, but I never got anywhere. No call backs, no emails, nothing. Actually, I did get a call from a guy trying to suck me in on a pyramid scheme with an e-commerce twist. It actually had nothing to do with e-commerce. He showed me this pamphlet with a diagram and actually drew a pyramid over top of it for emphasis—poor bastard. So yeah, online job hunting sucked and I thought it was me until I read this article on wired.
